What the platform is for

TenantVigil is a Microsoft 365 posture assessment and change-management platform for MSPs and internal IT teams. It focuses on high-value Microsoft 365 controls spanning identity, email, collaboration, devices, data protection, and auditing.

The product is intentionally designed to make assessment findings understandable to technical and semi-technical stakeholders while keeping the underlying security evidence accessible to administrators who need to validate or remediate a control.

How the product operates

A tenant grants TenantVigil read-oriented Microsoft 365 access. TenantVigil then runs scheduled or on-demand assessments, evaluates the tenant against its control catalog, stores the evidence and findings, and renders those findings in the customer and admin portals.

For paid customers, TenantVigil also supports recurring monitoring and control-level refreshes so a single control can be re-checked without waiting for the next full assessment cycle.

Key operating principles

The platform is built around least privilege, clear evidence, and explicit remediation guidance.

  • Read-oriented assessment posture by default
  • Clear separation between manual remediation and any future write-capable automation
  • Tenant-attributed history for scans, control changes, and user actions
  • Framework mapping layered on top of technical findings rather than replacing them
