Customer access for each technician

Admins see the customers the MSP owns, members see only assigned customers, and both employees and customer owners can review the access that applies to them.

Harbor IT staff access: admins see all customers; members see only the customers they are given.

Technicians have more access than they need.

Technician assignments change as people join and leave, and shared logins blur boundaries.

What you get

1

Customer assignments

Admins see the customers the MSP owns; members require current customer grants, and bounded workforce roles restrict workloads further.

2

Scoped reads

Customer views are filtered by each person's current partner and workload access.

3

Access explanations

Employees can review their access, and customer owners can see MSP access and recorded activity.

How it works

  1. 1

    Invite the team

Invite staff into bounded partner roles.

  2. 2

    Assign customers

Admins see the MSP's customers; members see only assigned customers.

  3. 3

    Explain access

Employees review their own access; customer owners see MSP access and recorded activity in Settings.

What needs setup

Connect the customer through administrator consent; Microsoft actions still need their applicable Microsoft permissions and setup.

Limits

Console visibility follows current grants.

An invite stops working if its issuer loses approval or invitations are disabled.
